If you would like to become a qualified pastry chef, the Certificate III in Cake and Pastry is the qualification for you! This is also a qualification, which means you will graduate with commercial grade baking skills to work in any commercial bakery or patisserie — you could even be the in-house baker at a fancy restaurant or hotel.

You'll lean how to make, bake and decorate traditional and modern cakes; pies (sweet and savoury); pastries; croissants; meringues; puddings; sponges; fillings; artisan products; and more! You’ll also gain essential back of house skills including workplace safety, food safety programs, recipe calculations, stock ordering, retail sales and inventory control.

When you complete the Certificate III in Cake and Pastry you will be  able to work as a baker, pastry cook or chef.

We are the only public provider offering training in baking with an on-campus bakehouse that sells students' work to the general public.
