This is a comprehensive course designed to give experienced workers the opportunity to become skilled or up-skill in the broader field of Business or specific specialisation related to their job role. This qualification is relevant to numerous Industries and Sectors where employees require broad-based business skills as part of their role. The course is suited to those working in roles carrying out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills. In this role, individuals use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others. Students will have a level of autonomy or accountability for business process management. The typical learner is expected to have completed a lower-level qualification in their industry or and be employed either full-time or part-time in a role that enables them to complete the requirements of the qualification. They will have some existing skills and knowledge relevant to the Business/Administration/Operations sector. It is likely that learners will be based in both Perth and regional Western Australia.

This qualification is suited to those working as administrators and project officers. In this role, individuals use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others. There are 12 units in total, 6 core units and 6 elective units, elective units are relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. To maximise the learning outcomes WAIFS makes sure that there are always two trainers available. This is to ensure students’ needs gets addressed on a timely manner and they get more time with their trainer to learn.
