Learn a new language, with a difference!

This qualification will provide you with the skills to use Auslan in a range of specialised, complex and technical workplace exchanges across personal, learning, employment, social and community contexts.

Through this qualification, you can become proficient in Auslan signing and translation for professional roles communicating in accordance with deaf protocol.

This training takes you from basic level Auslan communications through to proficiency level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)). Previous signing experience or completion of a lower-level qualification in Auslan is recommended, though not an entry requirement.

This diploma will provide you with the skills to use Auslan in a range of specialised, complex and technical workplace exchanges across personal, learning, employment, social and community contexts. You will be able to gain employment in a role requiring knowledge of Auslan and use your skills in a wide range of contexts.

The Diploma of Auslan builds on Certificate IV in Auslan and provides a greater opportunity for employment in a role requiring Auslan comprehension.
