SHB20116 The Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics is a nationally recognised qualification under the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training package (SHB). This qualification has been designed for those individuals who wish to be employed in a retail sales position involved in a range of tasks to sell and demonstrate beauty or cosmetic products, following routines and procedures and working under direct supervision.

This qualification provides a pathway to work as a retail sales consultant in any business that sells beauty or cosmetic products and services. This can include retail outlets such as cosmetic counters, department stores/pharmacies or beauty and hairdressing salons. These individuals possess a range of well-developed technical and customer service skills where discretion and judgement is required and are responsible for their own outputs. <p>As a salon assistant you will be the first staff member to greet a client for their appointment. It's your job to provide them with excellent customer service and ensure that the hairdressers have what they need throughout each appointment. </p>
