<p>This qualification reflects the role of employees in Local Government who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications including the requirement to evaluate and analyse current practices, develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices, and provide leadership and guidance to others in the application and planning of these skills. </p>
<p>You will gain the following skills:</p>

<li>Follow defined OHS policies and procedures</li>

<li>Provide assistance in carrying out building inspections</li>
<li>Analyse the natural and built environment</li>
<li>Conduct initial assessments of minor planning applications</li>
<li>Support the planning application, notification and appeals process</li>
<li>Conduct site inspections to check accuracy of plan and application documentation, and</li>
<li>Provide evidence in court.</li>
