Workplace Traineeship Overview

This qualification delivers a comprehensive range of topics designed to provide the skills necessary for the trainees in the racing industry who work  as stable hand or track drivers.

The duties require judgement and the ability to communicate the information concerning horse health, performance and temperament accurately to the trainer as well as high level riding skills and ability to interpret and relay information covering a variety of circumstances. This expert advice is critical as it is relied upon in the future training and racing program of the horse. This qualification is required for industry licensing and registration in some states and territories. Refer to your state or territory Principal Racing Authority for advice.
