<p>Western Australia grows a diverse range of top-quality horticultural crops including tropical and temperate fruits, delicious vegetables and outstanding table wines.<br />
Are you interested in working in this exciting industry? You may be interested in tree cropping, vegetable or berry production, grape growing or mushroom production – or you may work in a mixed enterprise.<br />
The Production Horticulture Skill Set will introduce you to safe work practice in the horticultural industry; and you will learn to apply chemicals and cover the skills and knowledge to either plant or harvest horticultural crops, depending on the season and location.</p>
<h3>Certification</h3>
<p>On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following units</p>
<p>AHCWHS201 Participate in work health and safety processes<br />
AHCBIO202 Follow site quarantine procedures<br />
AHCCHM201 Apply chemicals under supervision<br />
AHCWRK204 Work effectively in the industry<br />
AHCPHT201 Plant horticultural crops<br />
OR<br />
AHCPHT214 Support horticultural crop harvesting</p>
