CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to work primarily in the community. You will train to work under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisational guidelines and service plans.

Once qualified for home and community care, you will be ready to:

  • carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people as they age;
  • carry out activities related to an individualised client plan;

The course is delivered at our dedicated training facility in Rivervale with a mandatory work placement of 120 hours facilitated at an Amana Living Residential Care location in the metro area.

Mode of delivery: Face to face and blended learning options available

Amana Living Training Institute has Government funded places for this qualification available under the Priority Industry Training and Traineeship funding models.

When you complete the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary for employment at a support worker in the community services and health industry. Funded through the Priority Industry Training, electives have been chosen to provide a range of employment outcomes by including units that are suited to both the residential and community settings.

This qualification is offered in a number of delivery methodologies, including classroom delivery, school-based traineeships and through an RPL process.  For school-based traineeships, training is provided on-the-job with agreements with individual schools, to meet education West Australian Certificate of Education requirements. Suitable workplace options are secured through the Group Training Providers.

RPL acknowledges an individual’s existing skills, knowledge and experience, relevant to the training package requirements, through an assessment-only process. This qualification was endorsed by the Industry Skills Council August 2015 and supersedes (replaces) the following qualifications:

  • CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability
