Students can elect to focus on Indigenous land management, conservation earthworks, lands, parks and wildlife, or natural area management.</p>
<p>Throughout this course, students will complete written assignments and work in teams to undertake programs that assist in maintaining the natural environment. Participants will gain practical skills in occupational health and safety, fire management, biodiversity surveying, mapping and an understanding of remote operations.</p>

<p>When you complete the Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management you'll be ready for a career in <strong>Indigenous land</strong> management, <strong>lands</strong>, <strong>parks</strong> and <strong>wildlife </strong>or <strong>natural area </strong>management. </p>
<h4>Gain these skills:</h4>
<ul>
<li>maintain natural areas and wetlands</li>
<li>provide cultural knowledge</li>
<li>implement revegetation and natural area restoration works</li>
<li>safely prepare, apply and store chemicals, treat weeds, plant pests and disorders</li>
<li>identify plants and collecting seeds</li>
<li>operate machinery and workplace safety and health.</li>
</ul>
<p>Please note: Conservation and Land Management involves physical labour and students will be required to demonstrate a reasonable level of fitness and mobility.</p>
<h4>Good news!</h4>
<p>This course is going to transition to a new training package in 2021. This means that students starting in 2021 will transfer during their study to new units developed to meet current and future industry needs.</p>
<p>Students will need to ensure they have successfully completed all units and be issued the qualification before 22 December 2021 or transition to the new qualification when available.</p>
