The Certificate II in Introduction to Disability Care reflects the role of support workers who follow an individualised care plan to provide person centred care and social support to clients with a disability.

Care worker’s duties include:

  • Carrying out activities to maintain an individual's well-being through personal care and/or general activities of daily living
  • Carry out tasks related to an individualised client care plan
  • Support community participation and social inclusion
  • Reporting directly to a supervisor

The course is delivered at our dedicated training facility in Rivervale with a mandatory work placement of 100 hours facilitated at an Amana Living Residential Care location in the metro area.

Mode of delivery: Face to face and blended learning options available

Amana Living Training Institute has Government funded places for this qualification available under the Priority Industry Training and Traineeship funding models.
